The Summer You Were There
(君と綴るうたかた, romanized as Kimi to Tsuzuru Utakata and directly translating to Ephemeral Spelling With You) is a manga beginning monthly serialization in 2020 and ending in 2024, written and illustrated by mangaka Yuama. Following Shizuku, a girl ridden with guilt teetering on the edge of suicide, a meeting of chance(?) on her final day leads her to share her final novel with her classmate Kaori. Discovering that Shizuku has no more writing material for another story, she strikes her a deal:
"Let's start going out, you and me... You can write a story about our own love."

"I'll become proof
that you were here."
